JANUARY 2010 NEWSLETTER As we head into a New Year, we want to wish you and your families, health, happiness and prosperity. We would like to extend a special Thank You to our old and new customers and friends. We know without you, we would not be moving forward into our fourth year of business. We realize that you have many places to shop and we appreciate your continued support and encouragement as we go through these hard economic times. At Scrappin' Soul Sisters we pride ourselves on customer service and meeting the consumer needs. We hope that we have been able to provide you with a unique and wonderful shopping experience. If an item is not available in our store, please let us know we will do our best to special order the item for you. We continuously change our product line to keep current with the trends and new lines of paper and products that are being released. Please mark your calendars and join us for our birthday celebration. To thank you, we're having a HUGE inventory blow out sale, birthday cake and raffles. Plan to stop by and visit us on February 6th. Watch for updated emails as our birthday bash unfolds and we share our birthday presents with you! CARD SWAP CLUB January Card Theme is Valentine's Day Cards due January 26 for Pickup February 2nd. February Card Theme is Anniversary, Due February 23rd for pick up March 2nd. Rules for the swap 1. You need to make the exact same card 6 times. You will receive your card back along with 5 other different cards. 2. Size of the cards should be 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 inches. (This is an A4 size card) No need to supply envelopes unless you want to. 3. Bazzill cardstock is best; you can use heavy cardstock also if you wish. 4. Please embellish each card front at least twice. DO NOT use stickers as embellishments. Patterned paper does not count as an embellishment. Also all supplies need to be acid free. 5. Please DO NOT use your own handwriting on the cards. Computer, stamps, etc. are all OK for the words. 6. There is no need to fill the inside of the card unless you want to. Blanks are OK. 7. Please bring your completed cards to SSS in a ziploc bag with your name written on it. 8. Envelopes do not need to be included. SCRAP YARD SALE Do you want to sell your used unwanted scrap booking and stamping supplies? If this sounds of interest to you, rent a table for $5.00 and complete a Yard Sale Agreement form. You need to bring your yard sale items already priced with your vendor ID on each item. We will provide you with your vendor ID. Bring the items in the week prior to the sale date. The yard sale will be held on Saturday, March 6th. You do not need to stay for the sale. At the end of the yard sale, we will tally up your sales and issue you a store credit to Scrappin' Soul Sisters. This is a great opportunity to clean out the old and bring home the new. CROPS, CLUBS & CLASSES CLASSES & CROPS To sign up for a class or crop, pre-registration and pre-payment is required. Please call us at (603) 717-7136 to register or stop in the store to pre-pay. In consideration of others, children must not be brought to classes or crops. Children over the age of twelve, who are paying patrons, are allowed in class. Scrappin' Soul Sisters has the right to cancel a class if less than two people are scheduled to attend. Please call us forty-eight hours prior to the class date to cancel. Your class fee will be moved to your next scheduled class or crop. If your notification is less than forty-eight hours, you will lose your fee. If you miss your class or crop for any reason, you will loose your class fee. Refunds will only be given if a class or crop is cancelled by Scrappin' Soul Sisters. By signing up for a class, you are agreeing with the above class and crop policies. Please bring to every class adhesive, scissors, 12-inch paper trimmer, black pen, pencil, and ruler. As our thank you for taking a class with us, you will receive 10% off any in-store purchases the night/day of your class. Tuesday Free Croppin' Time 1:00 AM - 2:00 PM Free Here's your time to enjoy the quiet and work on your scrap booking or card projects. It's your time to come on in, relax and play!! Please Note: Our classroom fee also includes the use of the Cricut Expression die cutting system. We will provide the machine, blades and cartridges. We request that you bring or purchase your own mat for your use. For classes and crops: please pre-register and pre-pay to secure your spots. Valentines Day Romance Card Class Saturday- January 23 10:00 - 1:00 PM Fee: $30.00 Instructor: Carla Join Carla as she instructs you on how to make these beautiful cards for your sweethearts. Once you learn the technique, the possibilities are endless for you to make additional cards. You will receive five jars of glitter to take home with you at the end of the class. The display shows four cards, you will make three, your choice of which ones you would like to create. Class Supplies: Trimmer, Scissors, Adhesive Pre-registration and pre-payment are required. Once full, on your next visit, you will receive $20.00 off your next visit. Write your name, email address and phone number on the back of the card. You will automatically be entered into our next Frequent Buyer Card Appreciation Night for special sales, prizes and appreciation for shopping with us. Frequent buyer cards are not punched on Quickutz products, sale items, classes, crops or gift certificate purchases. AccuCut Grande Mark Did you know that we have the Grande Mark die cutting machine from AccuCut in our crop rooms? We have several dies on hand, including cards, borders, shapes, alphabets and 12"x12". You can cut chipboard, paper & fabric with this machine.
